IWIS 2021 Report
IWIS 2021 was held online on October 25-27 in War-
saw, Poland
IWIS 2021 WAS HELD ONLINE ON
This year due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic,
the 15th edition of the International Exhibition of In-
ventions “IWIS 2021” was held ONLINE on October
25-27, for long-distance mode participants. The event
was organized by the Association of Polish Inventors
and Rationalizers in cooperation with the Patent Of-
fice of the Republic of Poland and the International
Federation of Inventor’s Association IFIA.
The exhibition IWIS 2021 was held under the auspic-
es of the Minister of Education and Science. Among
the patronage of this year’s show were the European
Association of Inventors (AEI) and the Polish Federa-
tion of Engineering Associations NOT.
IWIS is Poland’s largest international exhibition ded-
icated to the promotion of invention and innovation.
n the 15th edition of this festival, solutions from 25
countries, including Australia, Canada, Croatia,
Egypt, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malay-
sia, Moldova, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russian
Federation, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Syrian Arab
Republic, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, United States,
and Vietnam were presented. Inventors presented
more than 300 solutions in various fields of science,
which are a review of technical achievements, some
of which have found their place in the industry, and
partly awaiting implementation.
Thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of
Education and Science (under contract SONP/
SP/461498/2020 by the Ministry of Education and
Science allocated for scientific dissemination activi-
ties), the Association of Polish Inventors and Rational-
izers have the opportunity to organize this year’s exhi-
bition IWIS which presented innovative solutions from
more than 170 scientific entities (research institutes,
colleges, and universities, also individual inventors).
The International Jury awarded the exhibitors for their
inventions following medals: gold, silver, and bronze.
The main task of the International Exhibition of Inven-
tions IWIS is to present the achievements of Polish
scientists and inventors to national and foreign entre-
preneurs and institutions. This creates the opportunity
to establish commercial contracts for the implemen-
tation of innovations to the industry, which contrib-
utes to the growth of the Polish economy. Another im-
portant aim of IWIS is to promote innovative attitudes
