Ahmad Babazadeh, a Ph.D. student in biomedical engineering at the University
of Tehran and an INV member of IFIA, invented a device to protect people from
noise pollution. It is a tiny device that can be is put in the ear and cuts down
sounds above 85 dB to a non-harmful level. Besides, it lets the person hear ev-

So, the user can hear everything(like a conversation, alarms, etc.) with no wor-
ries about health problems. It is very lightweight (about 5 grams each pair) and
allows air ventilation to prevent ear fatigue and bacterial growth. This device is
completely passive and does not have any electronic parts and batteries. So, it
is environmentally friendly and can be used for so many years. It can be used by
anyone who is exposed to noise pollution.
This device has won the gold medal in the First International INV Competition
held in Geneva on July 2021. Today, this device is in use by many people that

of the workers that use this device.
